The Court is recruiting for one administrative law clerk who will work under the supervision of a US Magistrate Judge located in Los Angeles. Representative duties of the position include drafting legal memoranda and orders, and analyzing statutes, regulations, and substantive issues. In addition to legal research and writing, administrative tasks on a daily basis to ensure the efficient operation of chambers. The law clerk will work in the Magistrate Judge's chambers at the federal courthouse in Los Angeles. Qualifications: Strong academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school, polished writing skills, superior analytical, computer and multi-tasking abilities. The successful candidate should possess three years experience after receiving a JD, including experience in civil litigation, civil rights, habeas corpus, social security, or appellate work. Bar membership is also required. Candidates with prior federal law clerk or staff attorney experience are strongly preferred.
