The Union Pacific Railroad Co. said it's getting "pretty close" to finalizing a deal that could bring to Sacramento what some experts are calling the largest single urban redevelopment project in the United States.
The Jerde Partnership International Inc. of Venice and its development arm, Millennia Associates, have been negotiating for at least part of the 240-acre rail yard for more than a year.
