Ex-Prison Chief May Face Sanctions
SAN FRANCISCO - A federal court monitor Thursday recommended criminal contempt of court sanctions for Edward Alameida, the former head of the state's prison system, for allegedly lying about union pressure to close three perjury investigations of guards.
