$845M judgment confirmed in massive solar power scam

The plaintiffs claimed that Ahern Rentals falsely claimed to be manufacturing and leasing generators, while concealing an agreement between DC Solar affiliates to guarantee payments owed by Ahern to DC Solar Solutions.

A Los Angeles judge approved an $845 million judgment against a rental company accused of misrepresenting its solar generator construction capabilities to investors. The judgment is part of a sprawling fraud case that also claims law firms including Nixon Peabody as defendants.
