Cybersecurity bootcamp lawsuit trial delayed

The lawsuit alleges that Caltech misrepresented its involvement in the Caltech Cybersecurity Bootcamp course, run by Simplilearn, and that its instructors have little or no experience in the field.

Trial in a false advertisement lawsuit filed by a proposed class of 300 cybersecurity bootcamp students against the California Institute of Technology and Simplilearn Americas Inc. was delayed by at least a year.

During a hearing Thursday, Superior Court Judge Ethan P. Schulman agreed with the parties' joint proposal to defer trial setting but warned that any potential trial date would not occur until at least the latter half of next year. He said he was pleased with parties&...
