Motley Crue drummer successfully challenges assault claim brought under AB 2777

The lawsuit listed four causes of action under AB 2777, which temporarily lifted the statute of limitations period for recovery of damages suffered as a result of sexual assault.

Rock musician Tommy Lee successfully demurred to claims that he sexually assaulted an anonymous plaintiff during a helicopter ride in 2023. A court ruling Monday found that the plaintiff had not provided sufficient evidence of a cover up by the Motley Crue drummer and his co-defendants, but left the door open for an amended complaint.
