Claims against Secret Service agents dropped from Girardi lawsuit

The judge agreed with the agents' arguments that the designer plaintiff failed to state a valid Bivens claim against them.

A federal judge dropped alleged constitutional violations levelled against three U.S. Secret Service agents named as defendants in an $18.2 million conspiracy lawsuit, along with Erika Girardi - estranged wife of disbarred attorney Tom Girardi.

The agents, including the former head of the agency's Los Angeles office, were accused of violating Bivens law by accepting bribes from the Girardis to wrongfully prosecute a fashion designer for credit card fraud in 2017. According to ...
