Youth in Inner-City Schools Support Democracy, Feel Ignored

Forum Column - By David A. Lash - In a Los Angeles inner-city high school, this year's observance of the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks turned into a tragic look at youthful disaffection. Groups of judges and attorneys visited high-school classrooms throughout the city to engage students in a dialogue about the freedoms, issues and realities of the now-changed world in which we all live.
