3 Bucks Short and They Lose

SAN FRANCISCO - For plaintiffs attorneys, just like holiday shoppers, waiting until the last minute can be risky business. A state appeal court ruled Tuesday that a medical malpractice claim arising from an infant's death cannot go forward because the plaintiffs' attorneys were $3 short when they paid a court filing fee.
