AG Candidates May Trip Over Track Records

SACRAMENTO - In the 1990s, gun control and tobacco regulation have emerged as key issues in California politics. The same holds true in this year's race for attorney general, where Democrat Bill Lockyer has sought to demonize Republican Dave Stirling as the pro-gun candidate and they have traded barbs over who is the real lackey for the tobacco industry.
