Women Lawyers' Chief Knows Value Of Contacts, Funds
When Linda S. Peterson joined the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles 12 years ago, the bar group did little fund-raising. Sometimes the group would have a party and charge admission, or a member would volunteer to cook dinner, and other members would purchase tickets to attend. Each year, the group brought in about $5,000 through its fund-raising efforts.
