Ad Campaign Takes Home Depot to Woodshed

SAN DIEGO - Home Depot, a nationwide chain of do-it-yourself supply stores, settled a government complaint over a hazardous waste-handling violation by agreeing to a hand-crafted penalty: three custom-tooled - and anonymous - ads warning other retailers and paint users to learn the law.
