Groups Want AG to Dissolve Unocal Over Alleged Abuses

SAN FRANCISCO - Relying on a seldom-used section of the California Corporations Code, a coalition of nearly 30 activists - ranging from feminist attorney Gloria Allred to the National Lawyers Guild and Rainforest Action Network - urged the state attorney general Thursday to put one of the nation's largest oil companies out of business, by revoking its corporate charter.
