Judge Awards Attoneys' Fees for Drained Lake

SAN BERNARDINO - A view of the lake, high in the San Bernardino mountains, looks like a postcard - lush greenery frames its shores, reflecting off silvery water. But the beauty of Silverwood Lake has come with a price tag to the California Department of Water Resources. The water distributing agency had to pay nearly $150,000 in attorney's fees as a result of a lawsuit that stemmed from its reduction of the lake's water level.
