California's DNA crime sample backlog cleared

California has cleared a backlog in DNA testing of crime scene evidence and reduced the time it takes to perform routine analysis, the state attorney general's office said Wednesday.

California has cleared a backlog in DNA testing of crime scene evidence and reduced the time it takes to perform routine analysis, the state attorney general's office said Wednesday.


If is sticks, the change marks a significant accomplishment for Attorney General Kamala Harris and for the department, which for years had one of the largest DNA backlogs in the country.
