Judge blocks cuts to in-home services

A federal judge in Oakland granted a preliminary injunction on Thursday to halt a 20 percent cut in Medi-Cal funding for in-home supportive services.

U.S. District Court Judge Claudia A. Wilken in Oakland granted a preliminary injunction on Thursday to halt a 20 percent cut in Medi-Cal funding for in-home supportive services that were supposed to go into effect on Jan. 1. Wilken previously issued a temporary restraining order on Dec. 1.
