Consumers drop suit against AT&T

Consumers seeking to enjoin AT&T's now-dropped $39 billion merger with T-Mobile USA Inc. asked a federal judge Thursday for permission to voluntarily dismiss their suits.

Consumers seeking to enjoin AT&T's now-dropped $39 billion merger with T-Mobile USA Inc. asked a federal judge Thursday for permission to voluntarily dismiss their suits less than three weeks after the companies called off the deal.

The request is pending approval from U.S. District Judge Charles R. Breyer in San Francisco, who granted AT&T Mobility LLC's motion for a preliminary injunction against the consumers in October. ...
