Three-Strikes Law Must Be Applied Precisely, Not in Scattergun Fashion

Forum Column - By Steve Cooley - Proposition 66, if passed by voters on Nov. 2, will eviscerate the three-strikes law approved by voters in 1994. The three-strikes law provides a powerful tool to seek life sentences for repeat violent offenders. It is a necessary weapon, but one that must be used with precision and not in a scattergun fashion.
