Juvenile-Justice System Must Treat Children Like Children

Forum Column - By Darryl Hamm - We need to reclaim our children. Roper v. Simmons, the juvenile death-penalty case to be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court on Oct. 13 not only raises the immediate question of whether executing children is constitutional but also brings much-needed attention to the issue of how our society metes out "justice" to its youngest citizens.
