Yelp to settle employee misclassification suit

Internet company Yelp Inc. will pay $1.25 million to settle a lawsuit brought by a group of account executives claiming they were misclassified as exempt employees, federal court documents show.

Internet company Yelp Inc. will pay $1.25 million to settle a lawsuit brought by a group of account executives claiming they were misclassified as exempt employees, federal court documents show.

The proposed settlement, pending before Judge Edward M. Chen in U.S. District Court in San Francisco, seeks to end a suit filed March 2011.
