Panel reverses judge's OK of warrantless search
A divided 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel on Wednesday reversed a Los Angeles federal judge, holding that two kilos of cocaine seized after a warrantless vehicle search cannot be used to convict the driver of trafficking.

Balancing individuals' privacy rights against police efforts in the drug wars, a divided 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel on Wednesday reversed a Los Angeles federal judge, holding that two kilos of cocaine seized after a warrantless vehicle search cannot be used to convict the driver of trafficking.
