Patent court backs Broadcom sales ban against rival

A federal appeals court on Monday affirmed a permanent sales ban on products produced by Costa Mesa-based Emulex that were found to infringe communication circuit technology patented by Irvine-based Broadcom.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Monday affirmed a permanent sales ban on products produced by Costa Mesa-based Emulex Corp. that were found to infringe communication circuit technology patented by Irvine-based Broadcom Corp.
