Johnson & Johnson settles bellwether hip implant suit

Health care company is now weighing a global settlement that would affect more than 11,000 similar cases.

Health care giant Johnson & Johnson reached a confidential settlement this week with plaintiffs in a second bellwether lawsuit concerning allegedly faulty hip implants manufactured by DePuy Orthopaedics Inc., a division of Johnson & Johnson.


Plaintiff Robert E. Ottman was represented by attorneys from Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger, and the case is part of a coordinated filing before Judge Richard Krame...
