Attorneys: Host of issues ripe for appeal in wake of Jackson verdict

Public remarks by the jury foreman and the court's ruling that Michael Jackson's physician Conrad Murray was an independent contractor are among many issues that may provide fodder for an appeal, attorneys said.

LOS ANGELES - A jury's decision Wednesday not to hold AEG Live LLC liable in the death of Michael Jackson raises a host of questions about the lawsuit's next chapter. The verdict, as well as scores of witnesses and hundreds of exhibits in the five-month trial, could provide a range of issues ripe for appellate review, said attorneys who closely watched the case play out.
