Brinker class tentatively wins certification

Judge indicates he'll grant Brinker Restaurant workers class certification for their claim that the company deprived them of meal and rest breaks.

Workers from the Brinker Restaurant Corp. received class certification for their claim that the company deprived them of meal and rest breaks, according to a tentative ruling Wednesday from San Diego County Superior Court judge William S. Dato.


The case applied the landmark state Supreme Court ruling from early 2012 holding that employers have to provide meal breaks but did not have to enforce each break.
