Finally -- Brazen Infringers Lose Bankruptcy Shield

Terry - The so-called Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act - the reform of the Bankruptcy Code that went into effect in October 2005 - has in reality very little to do with "bankruptcy abuse" and practically nothing to do with "consumer protection." To the contrary, the reforms are targeted mainly at insuring that ordinary people have less means of evading crushing debt; the main parties "protected" by the act are, without question, credit card issuers.
