Shrunken Egos

I recently came dangerously close to leaving the practice of law. Last fall, I had the good fortune to teach a writing class at the University of Southern California. It is an open question as to whether my experience and education qualify me to teach at a major university. But since my background includes a close personal friendship with the husband of an accounting professor at the university, my credentials are tough to beat.
