Supreme Court's Ruling in 'Smith' Expands Federal Age Bias Law

Section 2000e, et seq., prohibits employment practices or policies that have a "disparate impact" based on race, sex or other unlawful factors, even absent evidence of discriminatory intent. Griggs v. Duke Power Co., 401 U.S. 424 (1971).
