Courts Work to Make Jury Service Inviting
LOS ANGELES - Courts have spent countless hours and thousands of dollars trying to make jury service a more-inviting prospect. And while studies have been commissioned and improvements have been made - from Internet access in jury waiting rooms to tranquil, bubbling fountains - it didn't stop one juror earlier this month from expressing his boredom with the entire voir dire process by yawning loudly.
