How's business? "Despite relatively weak apartment fundamentals Bay Area-wide, the East Bay continues to outperform the other major markets with respect to rents. Not only are demand-side fundamentals better in the East Bay, but Alameda and Contra Costa counties have largely avoided the large amount of new apartment deliveries that is plaguing many other Bay Area markets. As a result, ample capital is available for East Bay institutional investment opportunities today."
