Pioneering Woman Lawyer Recalls Harvard

SAN FRANCISCO - When Judith Richards Hope started at Harvard Law School in 1961, her property law professor set aside special Ladies' Days for calling on female class members. The women were called to the front of the lecture hall and grilled on cases involving topics such as the sale of underwear, seemingly chosen to embarrass the women and amuse the men.
