State Board Says It Shouldn't Pay for Seeking Dismissal

WASHINGTON - The Medical Board of California told the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday that it would not pay any damages or costs for asking the court - just three weeks before scheduled oral argument - to dismiss the case the board filed last year after losing to a doctor seeking a medical license under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
