Lawyer Takes on ACLU Fee Deal
BANNING - Rees Lloyd used to be a staff attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union. Now he's a thorn in its side. The tough-talking Banning-based civil rights attorney, who left the ACLU to go out on his own 23 years ago, has become perhaps the most outspoken supporter of an effort to strip the organization of attorney fees in cases in which it persuades courts to remove religious symbols from public property.
