City Might Have to Foot the Bill For Bankrupt Electric Company

LOS ANGELES - Officials from the city of Los Angeles' public utility told the City Council Friday that the $180 million Pacific Gas and Electric and the California Power Exchange owe the city is "unsecured," prompting one lawmaker to predict that the city will be lucky to see a dime on a dollar of the debt.
