Lastest Study Finds Higher Punitive Awards in California

SAN FRANCISCO - Punitive damage awards tend to run far higher in four types of litigation - product liability, insurance bad faith, unfair competition and nuisance cases - than in other tort lawsuits tried in California courts, according to a 10-year study released Friday.
