Adobe's Act May Chill IP Cases

SAN FRANCISCO - Adobe Systems' withdrawal of support for the Department of Justice's criminal prosecution of the Russian programmer accused of breaking the company's copy protection code may harm the law enforcement agency's effort to crack down on intellectual property theft, according to copyright lawyers watching the case.
