High Court Agrees to Decide Bush's Power in Foreigners' Death Sentences
WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court agreed Monday to decide whether President Bush has the power to force state courts to reconsider death sentences issued to 51 Mexican nationals whose international-treaty rights were violated during their arrests, a case with important ramifications for the scope of presidential authority in foreign affairs.
