U.S. High Court Looks Warily at State's Traffic-Stop Ruling
WASHINGTON - In a case testing the Fourth Amendment rights of car passengers, the U.S. Supreme Court seemed highly skeptical Monday of a pro-prosecution ruling by the California Supreme Court that cleared the way for the state to use drug-related evidence obtained against a Yuba City man during an illegal traffic stop.
