U.S. High Court Holds Line on Home-Care Wages

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday appeared unlikely to extend federal minimum-wage protections and overtime pay to home heath aides who assist the elderly and disabled, an issue of broad importance in the growing market for home-based assisted living. During oral argument, the justices suggested they are inclined to let a 30-year-old exemption remain in place.
