SAN JOSE - Over several years on the bench in Santa Clara County's juvenile court, Superior Court Judge Read Ambler saw many youthful defendants who clearly needed special education - some form of individualized attention addressing the myriad learning disabilities that might otherwise drive a child out of school and into trouble.
