Supreme Court Hands Insurers A Major Victory
WASHINGTON - Handing a major victory to the insurance industry, the Supreme Court ruled, 8-1, Wednesday that workers may not pursue federal civil-rights damages claims against private workers' compensation insurers who withhold payment for disputed medical claims.
