U.S. Attorney Discusses Hiring, Policies

Bringing on new prosecutors is part of a series of changes Melinda Haag, the new U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California, plans to make as she settles into her new role.

SAN FRANCISCO - After President Barack Obama nominated Melinda L. Haag to replace Joseph P. Russoniello as U.S. attorney in the Northern District, the Department of Justice put a hiring freeze in place so Haag could oversee personnel changes when she arrived.


Now that she's in place, the hiring has begun.
