Hilton to Renovate Hotels, Pay Fine

Hilton Worldwide Inc. has agreed to settle a lawsuit from the U.S. Department of Justice claiming that the hotel chain violated the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Hilton Worldwide Inc. agreed to settle claims by the U.S. Department of Justice that the hotel chain violated the Americans with Disabilities Act.


The settlement, announced Tuesday, applies to hotels designed and constructed after 1993. Under the agreement, Hilton will survey disabled access at roughly 900 hotels nationwide and make necessary improvements to bring the buildings into ADA compliance. The ...
