BrightSource Breaks Ground

BrightSource Energy broke ground on one of the first large-scale solar projects to be approved in California in decades and announced that utility NRG Energy, Inc. will be pumping up to $300 million to help.

Oakland-based BrightSource Energy broke ground Wednesday on one of the first large-scale solar projects to be approved in California in decades and announced on the same day that utility NRG Energy, Inc. will be pumping in up to $300 million to help the vast solar farm rise in the desert.
