Despite a last-minute attempt by a Hollywood preservation organization, the destruction of the famed Hollywood Bowl orchestra shell continues.
A federal judge denied a temporary restraining order Sept. 26 brought by Hollywood Heritage Inc. to stop the demolition of the shell. The new shell supposedly will have acoustics superior to those of the 74-year-old shell.
