Supreme Court Mends Conflict Between Immigration Provisions
Resolving two conflicting provisions in immigration law, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Monday that an illegal immigrant can withdraw his request for "voluntary departure" so that he can attempt to remain in the country long enough to have his immigration status reconsidered.
