Judge to Hear Merits of Suit That Could Transform Cable Industry

A federal class action on behalf of cable TV customers across the country charges that the industry effectively runs a monopoly by only offering consumers prepackaged tiers of bundled channels, rather than allowing consumers to choose and pay for the channels they want.
