Professional Pro Bono Policing

California lawyers, beware. Mandatory pro bono is fast approaching. AB913, if enacted, would require law firms that contract with the state to make a "good faith effort" to provide 30 hours of pro bono service for each lawyer in the firm. Failure to provide these hours could cause the state to not award the firm future contracts.
