Interest Isn't Due on Embezzled Stocks

SAN FRANCISCO - A Stanford Law School graduate and former judicial clerk "gone bad" who embezzled more than $50 million from Cisco Systems, despite a personal fortune of $34 million, should not have to pay interest on the stolen money, a divided federal appellate panel has ruled.
