The Way They Were
by Julie nakashima CREJ Staff Writer Walking into the stately building at 1 First American Way in Santa Ana, a visitor might notice a section of glass-fronted display cases off to one side of the lobby. One case holds a 1904 Remington manual typewriter, another an adobe brick from Mission San Juan Capistrano. Other items include antique stamps and typesetting accouterments, a can of powder once used to keep ink from smearing, and old branding irons from the Irvine Ranch.
